Make a Flower Offering for Radha
Flowers are an important part of many Radha Ashtami celebrations.
In this simple activity, children can make their own colourful paper flower and create a special flower offering or decoration for the festival.
What You’ll Need
- White paper
- Pencil
- Crayons or colour pencils
- Child-safe scissors
- Glue
- A small piece of coloured paper for the flower centre, optional
Step 1 – Draw Your Flower
Draw a large flower with big, simple petals on a sheet of paper.
You can make a lotus, rose or any flower you like!

Step 2 – Colour Your Flower
Choose your favourite colours and colour every petal.
You could use pink, red, yellow, orange or purple – or make a rainbow flower!

Step 3 – Cut Out Your Flower
Carefully cut around the outside of your flower.
Ask a grown-up for help if you need it.

Step 4 – Make the Flower Special
Add a colourful centre to your flower.
You can also gently fold the petals upward to make your flower look more three-dimensional.

Step 5 – Make Your Flower Offering
Place your finished flower beside a Radha-Krishna picture, on a small family festival display, or somewhere special in your home.
You have made a beautiful flower for Radha Ashtami!

💡 If you could make one flower for Radha, what colour would you choose?
Happy Radha Ashtami! 🌸💛
