Til Ladoo is a simple, warming sweet made from roasted sesame seeds and jaggery – a favourite during Nag Panchami and throughout the rainy Shravan season. It’s easy enough for kids to help shape, with a grown-up handling the stovetop steps.

What You’ll Need
- 1 cup sesame seeds (til)
- 3/4 cup jaggery, grated
- 1 tbsp ghee
- A pinch of cardamom powder
Steps
Step 1: Roast the sesame seeds. In a dry pan, roast the sesame seeds on low heat, stirring often, until lightly golden and fragrant.

Step 2: Melt the jaggery. In a separate pan, melt the jaggery with the ghee on low heat until smooth and glossy.

Step 3: Mix together. Combine the roasted sesame seeds and cardamom powder into the melted jaggery, stirring well.
Step 4: Shape into balls. While the mixture is still warm enough to handle, shape small portions into round balls (a grown-up can help test the temperature first).

Step 5: Cool and serve. Let the ladoos cool completely before serving.

💡 Sesame and jaggery are both believed to bring warmth and energy – perfect for the rainy Shravan month!
